Hi Sangha!
In
just a five more days, we will be holding our December 8 vigil to
commemorate the enlightenment of Buddha and the feast of the Immaculate
Conception. We strongly encourage you to take part in this vigil. Here
are a few reminders:
- Please confirm your attendance with your jikis and submit the names of guests you have invited. Deadline for confirmation is on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
- Please indicate if you will be staying overnight.
- For those who will not be staying overnight, kindly inform your jiki if you plan to return for the 8 AM mass on December 8.
- Our names and the names of our guests will be submitted to the ELJ Communications Center security. There will be no need to surrender an ID. Just approach the guards at the turn-style and give your name.
- First sit will be at 7:30 PM and Orientation will be at 8 PM. Kindly make sure that your guests are already sitting in time for the orientation. For guests who will be coming in late, jikis will be assigned to give separate orientations.
- Please have dinner before coming to the sit.
- Light snacks will be served at 8:30 PM and at midnight.
- For those who will be staying overnight, the training hall has been reserved for those who want to rest/sleep. Please be ready to sleep on the floor. You may want to bring a sleeping bag and/or blanket.
INVITATION
Rohatsu is Japanese for “eight day of the twelfth
month” — 8th of December.
It is the day we remember the enlightenment of
Buddha.
It is also the day we celebrate the feast of the
Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Bahay Dalangin invites you to an overnight vigil or yaza to mark this special day.
Vigil begins at 7:30 PM on December 7, 2013
and will culminate with a Healing Mass at 8 AM on
December 8, 2013.
Vigil will be at the Meditation Hall, ELJ
Communications Center, Floor A.
While we are encouraged to sit through the night,
sitters who wish to rest from midnight to dawn can use the adjoining conference
room to sleep.
Light snacks will be served at 8:30 PM and at
midnight.
Breakfast will be served.
Let us come together in gratitude and compassion.
Let us come home to our Master Within.
